Share Maritime Memories with the National Records of Scotland and the National Library of Scotland’s Moving Image Archive.
Come and share your stories about Shipbuilding in Scotland in Fairfield’s magnificent Boardroom. Please join us for a tea/coffee and biscuits from 1.30pm. The event will start at 2pm with a selection of films from the Moving Image Archive showing the sights, sounds and cities of the Scottish Shipbuilding Industry including newly digitised footage of the Launch of MV Lochee (1937), MV Rangitane (1949), Broughty (1956) and MV Kirriemoor (1959).
This will be followed by a rare chance to see special collections from the National Records of Scotland showcasing items from the Upper Clyde Shipbuilders. See a slideshow of images, handle copy prints and share shipbuilding memories.
