Maritime Heritage Exhibition

An exhibition of photographs and other artefacts from the organisations involved and a rare opportunity to view material and items from the Clyde River Steamer Club Archive is being held on:

 

SATURDAY 13TH APRIL, 2013 - 11 AM UNTIL 4PM

 

at Carmichael Hall, Eastwood Park, Rouken Glen Road, Glasgow  G46 6UG

 

ADMISSION IS FREE!!

 

There will be a display of model Steamers also slide and video shows will be running throughout the day.

 

This is an opportunity to meet and chat with people from a host of organisations based in and around Glasgow and the Clyde, who have an interest in our Maritime Heritage, its history and the provision of services in today’s world.

 

If you have items from your own collections you would like to share, bring them along on the day and you will be made most welcome.

The Eastwood Park Cafe within the Centre provides teas and coffees, snacks and other refreshments.

Between the mid-nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the heyday of shipbuilding on the Clyde, Govan was at the centre of the industry.

Whatever your age or experience we can offer a range of learning opportunities. From education groups to community visits.
