Fairfield Volunteer gives BBC interview on the annexation of Govan

Colin Quigley, one of Fairfield’s dedicated research volunteers, was interviewed by the BBC today in a feature marking the the centenary of Govan’s annexation to Glasgow.  The area was given Police Burgh status back in 1864 establishing a fierce pride and independence that made some reluctant to merge with their own neighbourhood into the city’s boundaries.  A supporting article to the piece can be found at the link below.
